Finding First Unread Post

I think there should be an option to find the first unread post in a thread. Sort it out please Site Support, its a pain having to click on the last post and then scroll up to find the first you haven't read yet. It must be possible to do this because there is an icon on the left of some threads which means there are posts in that thread you haven't read. If it knows there are posts in the thread which you haven't read, then it must know which is the first you haven't read.

When I click 'View First Unread' on the top left hand side - it does exactly that. Is that not the same for you?

Why certainly:

I think given this forum software the read new posts function on a thread is a time index feature, where it will work sometimes and not others, ie. if you log in then it will remember and if you log out without reading a thread or just access the first post it concludes you have read the new posts and the next time you log in the feature is nullified and will not reactivate until a new post is put on the thread.

In your case it is usually your own hence this function is hardly required.

The other option is to click on the "New Posts" header next to the "Member list" and this will list all the new posts of the day.
