Am I right in thinking the first u19 tournament/challenger took place this weekend.
How did it go and do the players look on track for the European Juniors?

Hi, surprised no one posted a response to my initial question so I assumed the tournament was cancelled.
Then made a couple of calls and discovered that it was in fact played with almost a full complement of players (E Cox and R Ouseph missing). A few shock results though and the singles finals ended up with all Scottish finalists.
Well done after all the stick they took last year for not winning challengers they have appeared and dominated singles at this event. Also understand that only one of their finalists was an actual under 19 player.
Although the doubles were dominated by the English it seems a bit churlish that no one could post the results when they did not suit them.

What about Wimbledon, surely the results from this must be posted somewhere? I believe an Indian team was over, how did the players compare to this new challenge?

The U17 team preparing for the Danish Cup competition in two weeks time took on a full strength British Police Team yesterday at Milton Keynes.
The Juniors won most of the Singles fairly easily but were only leading 6-4 going into the last three mixed Matches.
The Police managed to pull it back to 6-6 but the England no 1's ran out winners to clinch the match 17-16 in the third game against an experienced pairing.
Final Result British U17 7 Police 6
Cracking result with many of the games very close.
Well done to the youngsters.
Good Luck in Denmark
