racket info

i would say i am a fairly advanced player but i do not know much about racket tensions, weights etc. i have read loads of reviews on rackets on this forum (and other sites) but am just totally confused. i am willing to pay about £80 (give or take a bit) but i dont know what tensions to get the strings, which strings to get etc. i play doubles mainly but do like singles when i can find a partner willing enough. i use my smash often but love my drop shots etc. so really what i am asking is what would people advise, and as i have had the same racket for a number of years, what tension would be the best for my game etc?
