Superb performances by Scots at the early season challengers (u19) level seems to have silenced the snipers from last year.
Also impressed that they have not been on this forum shouting off about the results but seem content to do their talking on court - Well done.
Results at York - Both singles won by Scots (who were also runners up in these events)
Results at Wimbledon - Ladies Singles, Ladies Doubles and Mixed won by Scots, Gents Singles by India.
Titles to date Scots 5, England 4, India 1.
Could be two strong teams competing in Europe this year from the home countries, what do you think?

id be very surprised if junior badminton was dead...
moving out of the junior catagory has made me lose most of my enthusiasm for the sport - its much more social at junior level, much more friendly.

Well if you know your junior set up in Scotland then you will also know the boys and girls have been told never to post on this site again by two prominent coaches and to do their talking on the court.
You would also notice that the titles have been lifted by players who havn't posted prolifically on this board, just in case you are wondering.
The hard work put in by the coaches and the players is begining to pay off, if you strengthen the base that you are building on then the other architects have to play catchup - is this now what is happening?
As for the original point, junior badminton dead? Don't be stupid, all you get up here is junior squad this junior squad that! Junior competitions are everywhere sometimes to the detriment of the senior tour in my opinion! As for the lack of posting, I'm sure studying has played a big part in it since the schools have gone back.

Who says Junior Badminton is dead
ENGLAND may have just missed out on another mixed doubles success at the Danish Open in Aarhus this weekend, but over in Copenhagen the stars of the future were grabbing golden glory.
Michelle Cheung and Rajiv Ouseph both lifted gold at the Danish Cup in the Under 19 singles while Chris Adcock and Jenny Wallwork took the mixed title.
And that was not all .... in the Under 15 section Yorkshire's Gabrielle White also grabbed singles glory.
But Michelle's was the most amazing success because as coach Justine Willmott explained: 'She is still only 15 and yet she won the under 19 title, beating Switzerland's Jeannine Cicognini 11-8, 11-9 and she has been ranked 80 in the world.
'Rajiv also did well, beating Ullrich Nielsen 15-6, 15-10 while Chris and Jenny beat Kasper Henriksen and Tine Kruse 15-9, 11-15, 15-4.
'Hopefully we aren't finished yet because we have the team events on Monday and Tuesday.'

it is not dead here in aus. the government doesnt fund it, however it is still very strong. there are many good players coming up through the ranks ie. boris ma. hes 12, and hes the australiasian u15 number 1.
im currently playing against and with him in the state team, wow he is amazing.
Junior badminton is far from dead in australia, it just doesnt get the support it deserves
