charity barnes is an up and coming ladies player from norfolk. i think she's going from strength to strength and she is a world class sponsored player. (I actually met her a few years ago and watched her train, she's a really down to earth person)

why Daveybwoy69 what are your thoughts on her play of late?

hahahahah, no I was wondering if I had seen her! jeez some people.

Plus I am not entirely convinced Daveybwoys glowing assesment has an enormous amount to do with her capability around the court..........

I could be wrong

Stu,

great minds my friend, great minds.

I added this link under the off topic forum. However mine was aimed at burberry, yours could be considered a little bit personal.

I respectfully suggest an apology.......

...and considering i have met (know) Charity, i'm not impressed by the turn this thread has taken. I responded because i thought we were talking about her badminton skill and nothing else.
Off thread topics & PERSONAL comments are the reasons why i don't visit this site as much as i used to.

Well given that Stu has apologised after intervention from Larry, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

The advice:

Stu,

I added this link under the off topic forum. However mine was aimed at burberry, yours could be considered a little bit personal.

Larry

and the apology:

It seems to me that people are forgetting how to read an entire post again and are riding on very lofty ponies!

Yeah thanks Phil.

as you can see from the WHOLE postings, we spotted the potential personal comments and Stu apologised for them.

Certainly, I have seen personal comments made elsewhere in this site and I deplore this behaviour.

I enjoy using this site, and I enjoy the "banter" that comes from it. Personal attacks should not and (following a conversation I had with site support yesterday) will not be tolerated.

I would like to apologise ONCE AGAIN to Charity, I dont know if she ever visits but if not I hope this is passed on as well as the potentially hurtful comments (if, indeed they reached her)

i'm from norfolk and have played against charity for much of her junior years.

she was always head and shoulders above the other girls in her age group and now i believe she goes to uni and is training there. got to the semi's of the u19 nationals and only lost to cheung. good to see norfolk is still going strong since i left lol!
