At least you've put all our minds at rest and saved any worry, thanks.
I'm still here, although going shortly.

Slow day at work then?
PaulB27
8th December 2004, 18:32
Isn't it always slow when it's work?!
Loafer
9th December 2004, 10:18
even slower today, already.
Used to about 140 emails a day, still settling into my new job, luckt to get 140 a fortnight!
Phil McBride
9th December 2004, 10:36
Well I'm sure the "new post" notifications are helping boost the count :D

just so you all know, the count was 7 emails for yesterday afternoon while I was out of the office and a mind-numbing 3 so far this morning.
PaulB27
10th December 2004, 10:17
I somehow feel more complete knowing that. :)

you see I manage to enrich peoples lives with a simple fact.
I am such a giving person
hahhahahahahahah
christ I am bored
PaulB27

I know the feeling!
Works night out last night so this morning is feeling like it's going to be a write off.

ahhh yes I know what you mean. fantastic, well done. you made my MOST irrelevant post cross the line onto two pages!
for this you get a prize.
now focus on your hangover. I know you feel pretty rough. but I have the solution.
I have the ultimate hangover cure.
sit still, and imagine a glass in front of you, the beverage held in it must be your complete focus, it is a pale colour, a rich thick pale foam on top, the glass has condensation on the outside, you reach out, grip the glass, your hand slipping slightly on the moisture, it feels ice cold as you tip the glass to your mouth and take a long refreshing gulp of....

TUNA MILKSHAKE
if that does not make you throw up and cure your hangover then I suggest you just go home, you are beyond help.

Hahaha, nice!
Luckily we have a water cooler so it's not all bad. Just waiting for the bacon rolls and butteries to come and life should be much more rosy.
I agree we should congratulate ourselves on making the most pointless thread on the forum stretch to 2 pages. Could we spam it to 3 though, that's the question?!
Loafer
10th December 2004, 10:32
to be honest I dont see why not.
I did the same thing with the tuna milkshake thing to a mate at uni, threw up instantly (although is was green already and it was probably just a matter of time anyway......) it is so much more effective when you are talking to someone. get them to close there eyes and talk them through it.
soooooooo funny

however, the rules are that each post on this topic should be valid, you cant just post single words or smilies to pad it out.
Anyone wanting to join in is more than welcome. and to be honest, 3 pages is to easy.
I think we should set out to get the LONGEST post on the forums.
I will ask site support which the longest post is so far and see if we can beat it.
(although I have to say having read some of the posts in the junior forum we might have a struggle on our hands, they go on for ever!)

These youngsters, so full of exuberance.
Is that kind of comment pointless enough?
Loafer
10th December 2004, 10:56
yeah you see, a valid point of view, a comment that feeds further discussion.
perfect.
the other thing that makes me laugh about the junior forum is the speeling/grammer
is it any wonder that older busybodies rant on about the decline of the english language when you have youngsters typing in pure text message english
u no wat I mean m8?
i mean really, it does not take much longer to type a word correctly does it.
and I helped my neice with her homework the other day and I was mortified to read some of her answers to previous questions.
She blamed the fact that they send so many text messages that it becomes habit.
I send upwards of 1000 text messages a month (well I did at my last company as we communicated a lot via SMS) and I NEVER used text slang.
it is just laziness.
ok rant over.
PaulB27
10th December 2004, 11:06
Aye, I ken fit like. Text spik is almost as bad as Doric!
Loafer
10th December 2004, 11:22
If I had any idea what you just said, I would be better placed to reply.
I think I might paste you reply into the junior forum and see if I can get it translated....
PaulB27
10th December 2004, 11:29
The translation would go:
Yes, I know what you mean. In my opinion language used in sms text messages is almost as difficult to understand as the traditional Scottish dialect of Doric used mainly in the North East.
Could nae even begin to translate into txt!
Loafer
10th December 2004, 11:43
ahha!
I got the "ken" bit, the doric threw me.

No but thats the way this post has gone
Loafer
13th December 2004, 09:20
well, thanks for your valuable input
on the basis that this post STARTED with inane drivel I fail to see that it is
"the way this post has gone"
My friend it STARTED there and was never intended, nor did it procliam, to be anything else.
