It's not a little disturbing, it's very disturbing... Did you spray my car brown?

Irrelevant in what sense, boy! Are you saying that this is irrelevant in the Off Topic and non Badders Stuff? I've got a good mind to tell Big Ears about you.

Loafer effectively tries to take the discussion outside. Here is what he says in his PM:

Loafer: you are, respectfully, a loony.

I am not a loony, I am a toony. And yes, do I expect that kind of respect being the famous T.V. star that I am.

hahahahah, i think you will find that is MY privacy you have just contravened.

However, I will overlook it.

I will duck out of this thread now as it has lost any interest it briefly held.

It seems to Noddy that you have that effect on threads, Loafer. Noddy has been to look at the other forums too! Quite a lot say 'Last Post: Loafer'. Well well well!

I'll never forgive you for painting my car brown, boy. Never. Anyone would think you were Sly. He's a nasty piece of work that guy... You're not, are you?

uuuhhhhHH! *Gasp*

These odd marks

Noddy is not sure he understands the joke.

These '>>' are marks Noddy picked up from someone else. Noddy will not say who, but they are often used to quote on a different style of forum Noddy has travelled to in his red and yellow car.

*Noddy shakes head disapprovingly*

Noddy need not mention where he picked up this strange trait, the evidence is contained within

So it was a while ago you visited? Before your car changed colour?

Who the hell has sprayed my car brown?

How do you know it was sprayed?

It could have been powder coated or someone could have used a roller, did you see them using a spray gun/can?

If it were cans then it would have taken a long time to complete as well as giving a rather uneaven finish, if they used a gun then you would have heard the compressor used to power it and also they would have required an electricity supply!

What kind of finish does it now have, matt or pearl?

And there was me thinking that the "Ladies Doubles Partner" topic was a bit whacky!!

But this is just insanity!!!!!!

I don't think it is supposed to make sense since it is an off topic forum "by popular demand" apparently.

This is just another of those "off topics"

1 In my humble opinion: "off topic" NOT="not make sense".

2 We can chat about a lot of meaningful things besides badminton. If we use the "set theory" in maths, badminton is actually a smaller sub-set than everything else. Let's work together to make this a meaningful discussion offtopic forum.

sorry red, i normally agree with you but i dont see the harm in having an arear of the site were useless ramblings can sit happily without upsetting everyone.

After all you implicity choose to read a thread by clicking on it. if you were forced to read all new posts in serial (one after the other) to get to the one you wanted to read, then i would agree that they should be kept to a sensible level.

HOWEVER, you do personally choose to read each thread so if you find one that is, in your opinion, rubbish simply choose not to read it in future.

Site support does a good job of removing completely pointless comments out of sensible threads so that issue is covered too.

basically i often hit a point in the day were useless drivel just helps take my mind off things!!

redking hopes to unite people:

Let's work together to make this a meaningful discussion offtopic forum.

In the words of Maximus Decimus Meridius, "As ooonnneeee!!! We stand a much better chance if we just stick together".

Is that the sort of effect you were going for?

You have the answer right here :HOWEVER, you do personally choose to read each thread so if you find one that is, in your opinion, rubbish simply choose not to read it in future.
:o

I just need to do a little minor simple illustration:

1 A guest went to a thread named "best racket" finding out it's a discussion of "sinking boat" or "Submarine"; went to "Hello, I'm Noddy" means a serious discussion of "off-topic";went to "Tsunami" and found a discussion of somebody always agreeing to somebody etc..... too many examples.

2 What's the implication: the guest might get confussed and frustrated: "What the help are you guys doing with this topics?" , "Which threads should I go in order to read something that I really intented " "Are there any choices?" "Should I participate in some meaningful discussion which will turn into nonsense discussion eventually and bringing the topic to nowhere? "These guests might simply PERSONALLY choose not to read THESE THREADS anymore after bumping at so many irrelevancies. Talk about registration!!!!

Site support does a good job of removing completely pointless comments out of sensible threads so that issue is covered too.

This will increase work load of sitesupport. With the time, he could have posted a few good and interesting posts, upgraded the site with more features, done more interview, got more sponsors....
When participating in a forum, I hate someone remove my posts.

basically i often hit a point in the day were useless drivel just helps take my mind off things!!
:o Dear Loafer:
I respect your choice(well actually I love doing off topic things, hehehe :D ). As of this moment, you have 222 posts and have made a lot of excellent posts.Your ability in making superior posts are beyond questioning. May I say that ... you are a "senior poster"..ok...ok..got to stop here... don't want to talk about setting good example...hehehe :D
