herts more likely notts i dont thk will b as strong as last year from wat ive seen obvisiusly having adcock outs a serious blow strong counties this year i thk will be yorks, herts, hamps and then perhaps notts, lincs, lancs and surrey i dont know about bucks or essex havent played them this year

I would go with dave n say that herts could probably win it this year. The strength of girls backed up by fairly solid boys will win it for them. Yorks im not so sure on this year, dont quite have the strength in depth that they had last year or that top u-17 girl that they had in jenny though gabby isnt bad. Notts also dont have the depth they had last year, especially with Chris being out and also with paul schuller being out, they also dont have the strength in girls to match herts.


But watch out for derby, they might just steal that 2nd spot....

secondly i would like to say that if notts had a full team including paul schuller and chris adcock they would wipe the floor with anyone including yorkshire and herts. and as to john ellis i think they say that because they always do have a good chance every year, but they have always been hindered by something for example the poor behaviour of ruth coleman last year, and this year because of the injuries.

To be fair i think yorks did deserve it, they seemed the most reliable all week with certain notts and herts players either losing or getting run very close in matches they shouldnt of and they all played pretty class in the final. they were 17-8 up and we got bak 2 18-18 and i twisted me knee, dropped to the floor and smacked it. I had to carry on cos we were so close. Dont want another repeat of nationals at the same place lol. we lost it 21-18. Me knee is swollen up and strapped up atm. can barely walk properly so i didnt stand much of a chance if i played daz in that shape.

I wouldnt put bruce as #1 even after winning the nationals. Apart from a few indifferent performances this season i would put pete as top. Considering Bruce is in your opinion #1, he didnt win a match at the grand finals. Not a doubles, nor a mixed or even his singles against jack. No offense meant to jack, but really he should be a fairly comfy win for the top players. But then to screw the system Marcus goes and wins beating the #2 seed max and handal, after handal had beaten max in straight sets.
The real question is how far off the pace will adcock be once hes started playing again, because notts could do with someone that could beat glamorgan.
