County Manager

I have been recently approached to be the new county manager for my county. Does anybody know what this entails? I know i could ask the existing manager, but i would like to bring something new to this position, and not carry on in the same vein. So if there are any county managers out there, please reply.

There is no difference between approaching the one that currently holds the position or other county managers.

Just because he/she tells you what they do does not mean you have to do the same thing or indeed you will do what they do the same way.

A good forum to meet other County Managers is the ICC Match Secs Meeting at MK on Saturday 7th May 2005 at 11am. This meeting is for all counties in the ICC to attend, one or two reps can come along. Your current Match Sec will have the details.

I hope you have a thick skin and have no plans the night before every match.

That's the negative side. Plenty of plus. But do remember the ICC is only a part of a players badminton season.
