What sort of stupid post is this????

You're more than welcome to talk niceties to mates on here (if you know who they actually are?) But thats what the Personal Messages are for.

Threads like this are the reason theres lots of bull**** on this site now and its been ruined from the days when it first started.

lewisio,

why dont you just calm down a little bit. it was meant as a joke as Admiral, one of the people I regularly exchange posts with was on the site at the time and browsing the main forum. so I popped in a quick little post saying hello.

I contribute a large amount to the site, some of which is pertinant and some of which is merely lighthearted.

I apologise if you think this sort of post has "ruined" (??) the site (funny, site support and a number of other heavy posters on here seem to like my contributions). In my honest opinion it is this lighthearted sort of post that has KEPT people here.

I may have missed the point but I was not aware that this was the forum equivalent of a library and we should whisper almost silently behind our hands to our friends!! I GENERALLY stay on topic and I have, until now, not bothered anybody with the occasional foolish post.

I hope you are not too put out and continue to contribute at your current high levels.

less than 50 posts since 2003, the site would flounder without you.

*looks for a rolls his eyes smiley*

I wonder if you know who "The Admiral" is?

And what's that bit about "heavy posters"? Are you calling me fat?

i'm completely with lewisio. on the other hand, i hate to offend you. so, i hope you'll take this with an open heart.

yes, your posts are lighthearted. but perhaps too much so? don'tcha think? i mean, from what i've noticed in my short period here in this forum, you've never touched on anything of real substance. you always just whine about your draggy days at work, and not to forget your numerous pop-in's-to-say-hello which should actually be confined to Private Messages.

i have a thought; that the people who keep 'coming back' are generally not those who look forward to reading your posts (sorry for the bluntness), but are here for other obvious reasons. some of us have just come on to kill time (for instance, me).

no offense intended, but just merely stating what's on the general member's mind who do not feel the neccesity to voice out their thoughts. if you choose to misunderstand me, then just forget this whole post.

No not at all, a valid point. I was not aware i was causing this sort of feeling and will therefore confine my posts to those of substance.

and no Phil i dont but hey ho, I always considered this place to be a light hearted kind of a place. I guess i was wrong. the last thing I want to do is annoy people.

I am big enough to admit when I am in the wrong and it would appear that I am in this case.

I will, as i said confine my comments to those of a serious nature.

i'm relieved to find you taking this from a good light.

there's certainly no need to go all serious! but considering the current amt of 'lightheartedness', you could do with a bit of cut-down-- :p

cheerss to the re-borne Loafer. *pops champagne*

Congratulations!!!! I'm certain that your "contribution" to this forum will be at least 100 times more than before.

(btw, when i read Lewisio and NBY's posts in this thread, i thought it was site-support who hacked into their accounts for posting!!!!)

interesting, you are one of the people that normally responds to my less than serious posts, thus perpetuating the threads?

1 personally, i like all the serious posts but i love most of the less than serious posts...the problem is: how to package the "less than serious posts" to be like the "serious posts" both of them appeal to diff audience, i fink

2 like i said before, you have quite a talent in posting those thingies and i also love talking like that....thus, even if u fink that u were posting something that is "less than serious" in your peraonal standard, i would try to exercise my noodles and think hard to get a sensible response...that's a bit challenging even if no one might not have noticed that...it's fun...bub...hehehe :D
