as you know, we are living in a diff world. when you go to sleep, i go to work. during your sleeping time, the member on-line is around 1-3 but the guests on-line might be more than 40. some of them might be form "foreign forums" who only want to "just_looking"(no relationship with just_lurking)!!!! theoretically, i think the best is to get more oldies back, like Alex, Moose....

I absolutely understand WHY the guest rates are so high, it would just be nice to keep the new members levels rising. I am sure they are i just hope they remain that way.

as for getting the "old" faces back, a nice idea but site like this grow through new faces.

i think both the new and old are treasure to the forum, including a well-behaved hisslor.

we have a lot of oldies' information on hand...just need some email etc to let them know that the old hisslor and his associates have gone foever...may be SS can send a PM etc. to tell these oldies that we have a party/lucky draw for Phil's 1000th post. these oldies have posted before so it might be easier to get them participated again.

we need high quality thread and interesting posts to get ppl adding their posts. believe it or not, this forum at the current moment is much better than 1/1/2005. the more active threads/posts the more ppl will post and the more active thread/posts....

I would assume that this site still gets a large guest presence so late at night is because of the international factor, the major problem with that is that this forum is quite continent specific.

It mostly revolves around English badminton, which was what the site originated for, over the last two years the site has seen more Scots and Welsh joining but that's as far as the interest in posting lies.

Red and Jug are only a couple of the foreigners who have registered and put points across but can they communicate about UK badminton?

My guess would be that the discussion on this site is far too localised to enable either to coment on the topic.

Many people like to read and see the posts but many do not want to get involved.
