Why is the entry fee for tournaments higher for Men than for Ladies?
or is it up to the tournament organisers to decide?

Just like clubs and pubs, females get in free (assuming they are pleasing on the eye) to attract in the gentlemen. If they are deemed minging by security they are either told: "the place is full/quota is already met/pay"
The higher price makes up the difference in letting the ladies (pleasing on the eye) for free.
It's probably a version on this.
But on the other hand how in the blue hell do the cardigan wearing blazrerati get in

Or perhaps it is because the Men play to 15 and the ladies to 11?

But ladies use more shuttles as their rallies go on forever, I mean longer. :p

Mens Doubles costs more than Ladies doubles also
But then again, I think the Mens prize money is more than the Ladies also.
maybe that's it. Not enough ladies enter to cover their proze money, so the men have to subsidise them :p

I was always under the impression that in major tournaments any event with a lady in was up to 11 only; mixed included?
It just never reached club/county level.
Obviously wrong
