Hi,
I play in a very social and relaxed, non competition, local club. The lighting in the hall we play in is not ideal and as a result white shuttlecocks are not good to use. We are currently using yellow but a dark colour would be ideal.
I have scoured the internet but have been unable to locate anything.
Ideally the shuttle cock would have dark coloured tip and having dark 'feathers' (we use plastic) would be even better. Does anyone have any ideas ?
Your help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Tony.

Ho Loafer,

Thanks again.

Tony. What about a green felt tip pen or spray paint? Cheaper and more accessible.

Yeah .... pen might work but a real pain to do. I think that paint would affect the flight of the shuttlecock.
Thanks for the suggestions.

they have yellow as well, but the green might suit you.

Thanks for the above help ... the green shuttlecocks arrived from Hong Kong yesterday !!
Cost = $39.00 for two tubes of 12 (24 in total) inc delivery (that's £20ish delivered ... not bad at all)
We used them last night for the first time and they were excellent.
Great result .... another satisfied customer.
Loafer ...... thanks for your help, it's appreciated.
Cheers,
Tony.

Really glad I could help.
To "close the loop" it would be useful to know how long they last and how well they fly/play, just for others using this site.

They fly very well and are highly visible in a fluorescent lit hall with cream walls.
Durability .... We played six hard games and used two shuttlecocks. The normal plastic ones last about twice as long, so .... with the lower costs for the feathered, they work out about the same cost +/- a few pence.
We will certainly be using them for the forseeable future ..... a most positive outcome.

All the best !
