The definition of an avatar::
"An avatar is a small image that users can include in their profile and will be displayed on every post they make."
We have put a poll at the top of this thread for you to vote whether avatar's should be permitted or not.
Please note, if they are allowed there will be heavy restrictions as to what is...and is not allowed.
Site Support.
The poll will be open for one week only

I voted no because I'm a killjoy and think it will be too much word for SS to continue with on top of what they are doing.
Oh and I want to start another arguement :p
And so far 8 out of 3,117 => 0.26%, what turnout is needed to ratify the "avatar treaty"?

Co'on Phil don't be a kiljoy.
Join in the fun.
Look at Racquetchat.com, they have been using avatars for around a month and its a very much smaller site than this one.
Join the Brits and others who have joined the 'Chatters', register. Go on you know you want to really.

A)Ever wonder the reason for the negative karma!!! the -ve karma was because of:
1 claiming to be a kiljoy;
2 underestimate the power and ability of SS;
3 trying to start an arguement;
4 selective use of statistics;
5 because of voting; or
6 all of the above.
B) Ever wonder who gave the -ve karma?
1) one of those who had voted +ve
2) SS
3) an immature member or a psycho
4) a very thoughtful member who "thinks" he wants to uphold jistice
5) one of those who had voted -ve
6) none of the above

Selective use of statistics :confused:
at the time 8 people had voted for either option! The fact was wholy accurate, not selective. :rolleyes:

A) To the active members, indeed it's a successful poll.
B) think:
1 how many members had signed in during the period of 1 week?
2 how many members will look at this part of website comments?
3 how many active members who really care about voting or posting?
4 how many active members r just lurking?
C) I still remember vividly what u said about this site, there's a lot of lurkers. there r members who said that they wont check in unless they post
D) Now, 75% of the active members who really care about the development and betterment of this site have voted "YES" for Avatar but merely 25% don't like the idea. from a democratic point of view, the majority of the active members voted YES during the voting period.
E) it seems to be about democracy, but the active memeber will need resources from the site. It's indeed your decision wether to support or simply ignore totally all the voices of the majority active members who really care about and support the site.

No to avators/siggies because they take up too much space and when you are viewing at work when u are not meant to be, they are more easily spotted
