There seems to be a distinct lack of places around where i live selling badders shoes. im sure this topic has been discussed b4, but does anyone know any good sites where shoes can be purchased. i don't really see how someone could buy a pair of shoes for example from the badders shop b4 trying them on for size and fit etc. ???? thanks

Tennis nuts is rubbish and regularly out of stock, as is Central Sports, far too pricey.
Try rapidrepairs.biz for all the latest and limited stuff, cheap as well.
Brian is a very nice and very helpfull bloke!!!!

but rapidrepairs.biz doesn't have mizuno.
you might consider PM jug8man...the price of badminton shoe in asia is almost always cheaper than in UK even after adding the mailing charge...also a lot of good selection

No one in the UK does Mizuno with the exception of specialist volleyball retailers and even then you have a 3 pair range.
Mizuno in the UK are a dead brand :(

in that case get the damned mizuno volleyball shoes...i have just bought a pair of Wave Tornado 9KV-59014(volley ball shoes)...(http://www.mizunousa.com/equipment.nsf/AllProduct/4CB386A20254514585256F1900612B77?opendocument)
1 our badminton coach(who is also a key volleyball player in one of the county of mainland china) confirm and re-confirm that the footwork of volleyball and badminton r very much the same...and both on wooden floor
2 one of my friends(who is a diehard fans of Yawnex) had bought the top of the line Yawnex badminton shoes and compared to a pair of mizuno volleyball shoes...he was very surprised to find out that the mizuno volleyball shoes is so much better
3 we can get both the volleyball and the badminton shoes from mizuno...yet after watching the "progress" of both for a few years...mizuno almost always put the latest tech on the volleyball shoes first before getting them on the badminton shoe
the design, craftmanship, technology, comfortability, durability of Mizuno is so much better than Yawnex or anyone else in the market of indoor shoes

yeh, you're right...may be going to the places that phil talked about to physically try out the volleyball shoes:

after testing from the volleyball specialist consider whether buying the volleyball shoes(like i said the footwork and the wooden floor of volleyball and badminton r very similiar) or just copy the size and try to get badminton or latest model volleyball shoes from jug8man.
most of the badders in my club or on other court that i see only wear Mizuno...i remember reading somewhere that the japanese badminton national team uses almost everything yawnex except the shoes...mizuno is no 1 in indoor shoes

I thought the Japanese team wore exclusivly Yonex because of their sponsorship deals, shoes and all!

Some of them are under Mizuno sponsorship in terms of footwear.
