Im in need of some new trainers, and theres nothing like the best, Yonex SHB99, the limited edition ones make you look like an idiot so they dont count :p Theres a website Ive found selling the SHB99MX for around £39 once you add VAT but the site doesn't look very reliable and on the photo the Yonex logo doesn't look right I just wondered whether anyone has bought these shoes off this site
http://www.sportdiscount.com/badminton/index.htm
And are they genuine, not fake or from the Far East

I can get them (brand new) off my coach for £40 who I will see tommorow but it could be as late as 29th August before I get them would it be wiser to get them off my coach who is reliable or the website a quid cheaper and before the 29th

BTW if there any sites offering these for £40 please tell me, although I dont think there is

**EDIT** Yes I know CentralSports sell them for 47.99

"1 bird in the hand is worth 2 birds in the bush"....i would definitely try to get the shoes from the coach...plus, if the shoes do not fit well or if it's a second than you can have that exchanged easily...does the coach have a shop...can u call the coach or go to the shop to get that earlier?

by the way, is the coach lee clapham?

hey bub,
buying trainers r unlike buying merely fashion...some trainers might look bad but they r more comfortable, have more protection, and faster...if YY dares to call that idiot looking shoes as limited edition...there might be something outstanding about that

I will get them from my coach as that being the safer option, no my coach doesn't own a shop, he knows this bloke called John Wittfield (JWSports) he doesn't have a shop he selss over the phone he buys them in bulk he got my friend the Nanospeed 8000 for £80 and it wasn't the JP, it was the UK one. My coach isn't Lee Clapham, its just that our county badminton development group, runs a summer school each year and my coach is good friends with Lee and asked him to come down and do it for so much and he did it was around £1000 we had to pay £60 each and £10 of that went towards a tshirt and there were 20 of us, we did it 9:30-4:40 monday to friday, then the next week he did a beginner and intermediate one, one being in the morning and one in the afternoon. You might no some of my coaches they play in the Lincolnshire area
Paul Thompson
Phillip Wressel
Derrick Houghton (Hes the one getting me the shoes)

hey bub,

it's a very good price for the NS8000 racket...also based on our past experience UK code rackets are almost as good as the JP racket...UK code rackets r better than SP and r much better than the TH...the UK codes r more expensive than SP or TH in Hong Kong.

so can they let u try on for the correct size or model of shoes?

good luck on the lesson!!!

(btw, it seems that they can get u yy bags at good price too...i think ant(s)'s bag recommendation is good)

I agree with Red, the JP versions are more durable than the UK's, not by much but you acn tell the designators apart when you play with them.

On the positive of the SHB MX99's the limited editions (LMX) fit better and are more stable to play in compared to the normal ones in my opinion. The normal ones feel strange and wider, possibly due to the limited being unisex that they are slightly narrower? Also the tongue is better and more comfortable than the normal versions.
