I would suggest if you don't want to read about us having a go at each other then you can either not read the posts (as the thread titles are rather obvious, again when the content wonders off course it is apparent for all to see) or put us on your ignore list (so our posts are deleted from your view of the threads) and further to this why don't you turn up at one of these and see us as we all get together and then you will realise although we rib each other on here the atmosphere in the halls is completely different.

As I will be at Milton Keynes twice in October as a sectator and I am old enough to be all of you's father I am not able to compete at that sort of standard and never have been.

I am sure that you all have fun at the events but it gets totally boring seeing post after post with people slagging each other off.

Another possibility is Site Support having a "Phil McBride - If you can't take it don't dish it out" section so people would only look in for the personal attacks and people having a go at each other. That wat the crap would be kept of the main forum and the dividing line would be easy for all to see - any crossovers would be deleated.

i think your post is very ironical and sarcastical..

at first glance, it seems that you were unhappy with those "one" or two" bubs slagging each other off in multiple threads...but a second thought told me it seemed you were really unhappy with those other lurkers who didn't even bother to try putting some posts up

also, at first glance it sounds like that these "one" or "two" bubs slagging each others r wasting space on this site...but in a deeper level, it should be the lurkers who really wasted the the space on this site by non-posting

Starting a poll is all very well and good but do site support have the ability to forsee the posts that will come after the poll is started and the nature of the people posting?

Are they able to tell how one person interprets the words of another?

By their very nature polls have two diametrically opposite positions so it only a matter of time before an argumet erupts over one persons views over anothers is it not?

i think that's the most sarcastic part...we currently have 1538 threads and these "one" or "two" only dominate at most 3 threads slagging around...they merely are dominating 3/1538 i.e. 0.00195058517 of the total...so my interpretation...woody is more unhappy with the non-posting ppls

nevertheless, ironically speaking whenever i put a post here, it seems that i start talking hagi and matrix(and probably Phil) adding to their dominance of threads!!!!

i fink the problem really rests with the majority indifferent non-posting ppls...the forum belongs to the owners, the sponsers, the posters and the readers

it just happens that the current focus of the posters is on the "crap" that you refered to...but those "crap" is both meaningful and interesting to the posters

i think Woody not only has a point but also has taken active action in white-washing the "crap" by putting up meaningful threads in the main forum so that we can talk more "meaningfully"

When i saw the name of this thread I thought you were talking about one of my pet peeves. Garbage that was tossed around on the ground.

Anyhow, I'm new here and am interested in hearing from anyone from Irvine. I lived there from 1961 to 1967. I went to John Galt Primary School and lived up near the hospital on Park Pl. I lived at the dead end where the walkway is. When we first moved there there was an orchard across the way. I remember them cutting down all the trees.

This site doesn't seem to to have an image gallery. Am i missing it or does anyone know where i may find some good images of Irvine?

Well I'm bored everyday. I'm unemployed at the moment, and money is pretty tight. It's hard to look for a job when you don't have money to get to the interviews.

I also enjoy rock. First started listening to to it as a kid in Irvine. I listened to the Beatles the Stones and Gerry and the Pacemakers back then.

Earlier in this thread i had asked if anyone new where there were pictures of Irvine online apparently nobody knew of any. I have since found some at http://www.197aerial.co.uk/. If they don't have what your looking for they will check their archives to see what they have. They do have some of Irvine and i requested to see some more. They actually sent me some by email. I thought that was pretty cool. If your still bored when you read this. Go check out the pictures.

I go to see a lawyer tomorrow. I'm hoping to sue my previous employer for wrongfull dimissal. I think i have a case. I'll know tomorrow if the lawyer agrees. Wish me luck, cause if I win, I'm going/coming to Scotland for a visit.
