ok,
just a pet peeve. the "quote" functionality is there to highlight a SPECIFIC LINE (or LINES) of text WITHIN a post, NOT the entire post. by clicking the reply button you are already stating your intention to reply to the previous post, you do not need to leave the entire original post within the quote tags.
1. click the quote button for the post you wish to quote
2. DELETE all unwanted text to leave just the bit you want to refer to
3. type your comments after the [/quote] tag
4. post it and prepare for ridicule/whinging ad infinitum and just occasionally, a sensible response
if you want to refer to an earlier post ie not the most recent, then why not use the quote button but delete all but the first few words and add ".............." at the end, just before the [/Quote] tag.
