The Forsaken would like to know if you are anywhere near Luxis?

Any time I try to click on a racket a silly search page appears and I cannot progress through to pay for the one I want :(

I have tried my usual sources like IRISI and Jeff but am still waiting for word from Jeff as IRISI can only get SP designators and you know I like the good stuff so have to be either CP or CN ;)

possibly looking for either slim 10 or Ti 10 (possibly both) but want to know the prices first.

Any info Red??

it's not too close to me but i'll try with Lxius this week(i've been to their shop in jordan, kowloon twice in my life... when i saw the racket price i almost got an heart attack!!! ) for you!

so you know that CP and CN are sponsered products and the their usual channels to shops ....there's no gurantee that the products are completely new if you buy!!!! i'll ask my son's former coach when i have got the chance seeing him(he is still using Ti-10 for tournament)!

why don't you get Ti swing power SX cp too...swing SX is simply more powerful and much quicker in response than Ti-10!!!

hi bub,

i just called Luxis...they have both slim-10 CN and Ti-10CP on hand(the price should be less than 160 pound each without string)...they confirmed that they can communicate using the queen's english to talk to you(but i'm afraid that they might not understand the under-educated junior scotish's spoken english) in further detail regarding the "real" price, shipping and payment method(credit card...visa and master)...shipping shouldn't be expensive by registered air mail

their telephone no. is (852)-2425-0767....ask for Ms. Chan...alternatively, you can email them:
( http://www.luxissportnet.com/main.html)....however, that might take sometimes for their reply....calling from UK to HK is so cheap nowaday

any problems, just let me know...i'll "take care" of her if she mistreat you ;)

I will give them an e-mail and the price is ok since they are gifts for old coaches just to say I appreciate all your help!

The Forsaken bows with hand wrapped round fist to your ability!

The Forsaken suggests you have followed his carrer well and have a good memory!

The E-mail has been sent and the slim should value at £130 and the Ti at £150, given the exchange rates, but as we all know it is a buyers market for rarity items and the prices fluctuate constantly on these "prestigious" items.

Now we wait.

The Forsaken would suggest to Alan: please read the posts again as it clearly mentions that the required rackets are (i) not made in the UK(Ti10 is probably 5-6 years out of production minimum and the Slim even more), (ii) are not for general retail sale (being used by the Chinese national squad only) and (iii) I would hardly be interested in picking up AT700's if I have just given a large batch away.

But please feel free to listen in on the conversation some more. ;)

btw, you are very welcomed to either chat with us, "listen to" our "conversation" or start something new to chat!

Dont worry if I have something to add I will, just dont like posting if I dont have some thing constructive to add.
Nothing more annoying than people who just post and " I agree"
I did notice that you were only looking for rackets that arent avaliable in the UK but just thought when I stumbled upon the AT700 it might be worth while mentioning it.
Why are these rackets your after so rare?

Ti10 cp, AT700 cp, Slim 10 CN are sponsered items used by the Chinese National Team!! these products are really collector's items and are r different from the main stream SP/UK?TH codes!!

really nice talking to you!

They were Forsaken :(

I got a response from Luxis but they only have 2U, prices were as expected and shipping surprisingly cheap compared to what it could have been but I'm a bit worried about a non issue UK weight as we tend to like light rackets over here (3U & 4U) but 2U is far too heavy.

you have got a point but i don't agree with you in total...it's real nice to add "constructive" things to post.

nevertheless, posting "I agree" is an explicit way to support an opinion/act/post...the original poster gets a positive feedback from view...i think that's also "constructive"...overusing "i agree" is bad of course

hey bub,
2U!!! don't be too worried!!! let's look at it in a positive way:

1 tell each old coach that this ia a real CP/CN racket because Professionals at CNT team likes to play with heavier version racket(these guys at CNT are well trained and have stronger hands) such that the racket can produce a more powerful stroke with more "solid" feels when smashing...it's a genuine antique!!!!

2 now, the most important element of a gift to them is the "time", "cash", "heart" and "mind" with "deed" that you went through a hard and difficult process in arranging the delievery of an ultra-rare item from million miles away across the ocean from the hands of the ppls who can't speak good english...at least you won my respect...if you do the same to a decent girl..

3 given the racket is a gift, a collector's item and an antique...it is actually more desirable to be in 2U:
a) the coach will not use it daily....he won't break it...as long as he won't break the 2U, he remembers you and your heartly deed when he sees it.
b) instead, he will use the 2U in speicial occasions...eg showing-off in social gathering...friends, pupils or fellow coaches will say "Wow, how could you get that?" "that racket is from CNT and is rare as the dragon's eggs!!!"...than the coach will say "hohoho, that's the exact racket which XXX had used in cliaming his titles in XXX champ...it's a bit heavier because the Pros have well trained hands...blah..blah..blah"...the old coach might think "i'm really glad that i have a student name Forsaken...Forsaken is such a good lad... I should find him a few sexy and beautiful g/f...Forsaken deserves it"
c) as the coach does not use it...he can sell it in ebay when he needs money or when he is gone to the heaven, his family will hang out the racket in rememberance of his glory in badminton.
d) blah blah blah

SO: even if they have got 3U4U5U or 6U...get the 2U

The Forsaken would like to mention his old coaches (as in ex, not age) are ex-international players like himself! In the glory days they played with these rackets and indeed would very much notice the difference in weights between a 3U or 4U compared to an ultra heavy 2U.

I would not think that having untrained hands would matter very much in that instance because we all play in a very different way to the current game with deception being the ultimate weapon in the end game not fitness as our prime is long since past. So I would assume that irrespective of the racket it could be used to maximum effect. The problem is with personal preference with regards to the weight.

I could even tell the differences in mine even though they were all 4U, bearing in mind the given range was 5g.

The Forsaken will probably buy but he has asked them to research 3U's for him, The Forsaken believes they will be as rare as faries wings because the Asian market is predominantly 2U with some 3U but because these are older would only be issued to the CN/CP run as 2U.

But yes please do ask your sons coach

will ask when i have a chance seeing him! very certain he has at least 1/2 dozen of Ti-10 CP as he still uses that in international tournment and daily training.

but uncertain whether:
1 he has new ones
2 he wants to sell
3 the U of the racket

very certain he doesn't have Slim 10!

just talked to the coach 30 seconds ago in the club....he has Ti-10cp on hand...just one size...but he can't remember the U and the price of it...he will check when he returns to his shop.

The Forsaken has the rackets on hold since they are brand new and are 100% unused, but there is some problem with processing the payments because of the cowboy Chinese bank they are using and their online payment scenario.

I have refered the matter to the finance department in my work and hopefully that will sort everything out!

Can't do much more as everything is ok this side :)

would that be easier to buy a bank draft in HK$ drawn to a HK bank and mail the bank draft to them by registered mail so that you can be certain they will received the fund?

alternatively, it would be real quick if they give you a bank account number than you just need to TT them overnight and fax them the receipt.

hope you could get the rackets before X'mas.
