Mr Mcbride opted to become a badminton missionary in Guatelmala.
Whilst he was warned of the dangers, he decided that downtown Glasgow would be more than enough preparation. Sadly whilst experts believed it would prove to be enough for the vicious animals and violent tribes that inhabit the area, he was woefully ill-prepared for the other dangers that might befall him.
By the end of the second day, with no chip shop available to serve his daily batter intake, no tennents, and no sky TV "watched via splicing the cables off your neighbours dish", everyones favourite glasweigie relinquished all contact with the outside world.
Watch this space as we try to "phil" in the gaps and keep you up to date with his progress......

Anything over £50 a bottle from a specialist shop should do the trick, some nice rare ones out there.
Johnny Walker is a mass produced whisky (both red and black labels) and probably one of the most common exports from the UK but not too common in pubs and clubs unless a social club or gents club as it is seen as a good tipple, in most places you have to make do with "Grouse" or "White and Makay" which are other more generic brands.
Have started hitting it with Irn Bru again and sometimes just plain neat to burn the throat after a few to get warmed up on. ;)
But always with ice!!!

(
i talked to a CEO of an international beer company during my trip to Japan last weekend. he said that the turnover of beer is droping sharply in hk....ppls are consuming more red/white wine and whisky nowadays!!
specifically, he said ppls going to pubs and/or KaraOK start to drink whisky with icy green tea!!! have you heard of green tea whisky in your place? he further elaborated that whisky is very strong but green tea is a bit "thin" but not as "thin" as water. green tea whisky is a better mixing than 7-up whisky as 7-up is too sweet
it's a perfect "mix" because ppls can drink a lot without burning the throat or being drunk! i really like the taste and smell of whisky but i can't take the full strength! next time i'll try green tea whisky!
by the way, will the more expensive one(i mean the specialist one) taste/smell better than the cheapie Johny Walker?

Seems he has indeed moved on Loafer.
Spotted him in our office last week but said he was spending Christmas with his family and would be back at some stage early next year.
God help whoever pissed him off enough for him to come back to London!

The Forsaken can indeed confirm McSporran will be fountain diving in Trafalgar Square with the rest of his slightly insane colleagues this Saturday night! No doubt trying to sneak a glass bottle of whisky past the security

Well,
as promised I have kept my ear to the ground and tapped into the dubious circles that Mcbride once frequented (the rash on my ear has now cleared up following an aggressive regimen of antibiotics, you will be pleased to know) to bring you this update....
Following the little episode in Trafalger Square (all charges were eventually dropped), Our intrepid Badminton Missionary has once more left this green and pleasant land, for pastures new.
He had hoped to return to guatemala, but following an unsavoury incident involving a tribal chief's twin daughters and a shuttle cock (imaginatively constructed from guano and parrot feathers) the plucky weegie decided that discretion was called for and to strike out for other foreign lands.
Last spotted on a tramp steamer headed for a mysterious island surrounded in fog, our favourite kilted native goes in search of a mythical doubles partner even bigger and hairier than himself. Rumors circulating that his quarry prefers a female partner have not damped his enthusiasm as he is confident his national dress should be adequate disguise..............

Not yet they haven't ;)
We last saw him running into a large group of revellers on the side of the Thames, well we think they were revellers. They were wearing those ravers yellow vests over their black jackets
He's a mad one that's for sure

The Forsaken has heard that the word on the street is that he has not long left in Glasgow after being enticed elsewhere, but he has still to accept the move away from his beloved homeland.
Haven't heard from him in 4 weeks which is very odd.
McSporran are you there?
Anyone else heard from him?

Staying here up in the cold for the forseeable, I can't be moving at the present, I have at least one good reason to stay!
