There seems to be a perception amongst young English badminton players on this site that they know all about the opposition in Europe from the perspective of the 6 nations etc
This is of course nonsense and actually quite dangerous. My own country Denmark also suffers from this but not to the same extent particularly after the Turkish juniors nearly beat us in the Polonia Cup.
Beware of arrogance because there are players in many of the smaller nations working much harder and longer without most of the benefits that the elite nations enjoy but they are hungry for success.
In mens singles England are a looking down a long dark tunnel...the best prospect from what I see is Carl Baxter who plays with passion and commitment and had the wit to play for Lillerod Klub in the Danish Elite League, but I think he is from Canada?
