Just to say hello.

I wasn't exactly sure where to put this, so here it goes ;)

My name is Carl. I'm 27, from Notts, England.

I'm looking to play badminton with/for a club for the first time. I have played since I was about 12 years old, but never played competetively, just amongst friends and work colleagues.

I also play rugby and hold a black belt in taekwon-do.

Anyway, off I shoot to read & post :D

Hi Carlos,
Welcome to badminton. The link below may help in the absense of more helpful info. It's to the Badminto Association who will put you in contact with N otts County developmet officer who will obviouslsy know all the clbs in your area.
Because you appreciate sound practice and have the ability to benefit from coaching you would appreciate a club that is coached rather than a group of players who play for simple fun. There is as much to learn & benefit from in badminton as there is in the martial arts. In neither athletic exercise do we just smack the (shuttle or other person) target.
I wish you safe, effective & enjoyable badminton
Chris
