Hiya Folks,
Just wondered if any of you guys have managed to get hold of this yet?
I contacted Badminton England after the championship and asked them to contact me when the DVD was released,
Over the last couple months they have contacted me 3 times.. asking me to purchase it over the phone.....
Yet there is no evidence on their web site that it has actually been released?
(Still a comment on there that it will be released at the end of March ?)
i am glad I didnt payfor it a week after the competition when they first phoned me up!
Money is not the issue here...It is the buisness ethics that bothers me,
Apologies for having a moan...so back to my original question....Has anyone got the dvd ?
Kind Regards
Ben

and the problem is? You asked them to call and they did and now you don't want it? Just because their website is a bit behind doesn't mean they have done anything wrong or have I misunderstood you?

Flea..
.I think you may have mis-understood me...
First and foremost.. "I WANT THE DVD.... - I REALLY REALLY WANT THE DVD! "
The problem is.....................
I did ask them to contact me when the dvd became available!
....not to phone me 3 times knowing full well that it had still not been realeased,
(consider this...if 10,000 people have already paid £20 each...Then Badminton England have had £200,000 in their bank account for 3months,
From a financial point of view...it is probablya good practice for them,
But from a customer satisfaction view..I am not so sure?
In my job..I deal with many 'blue chip' companies on a regular basis and things do not always go to plan..
.therefore I am aware that things can over run a little... But it is nearly 3 months ago when they first contacted me!
( I doubt you would be so patient had you had ordered a new racquet from a web site ;) )
If they said the dvd was released and I had to wait 28days for delivery ...then that is no problem,
I would then know that it has actually been released and the wait was probably due to demand or shipment issues?
Can you see where I am coming from now?
Thanks for the link...but,
They put that on their site the day after the finals
(I went to the finals..that is why I am really looking forward to the getting the DVD)
Kind Regards
Ben

Do you own the rights to the pictures? I thought they were owned by Badminton England which means that this is an illegal download. The quality looks a little hit and miss and I think I see a logo in the corner so I assume you haven't ripped the DVD they are selling just nicked it off the TV?

look around you , many pepole are sharing files they captured from tv , net brodcast etc ...
I said SHARING , not selling ... ( www.badmintoncentral.com )
It's a lucky that badminton is still not a question of $$$, it must stay like this !! many people had paid to see the ae2006 in birm. I was one of them , there is nothing comparable to live , movies are just to help you to improve our skill , others are making collection for fun just to have some match to see ( instead of that fu... football we see every day on tv )..
be back .. stay cool cool ..

If this site promotes illegal downloads then it can be shut down quite easily.

Do you realise what you are saying? Everytime a company pay to have an event televised it costs lots and lots of money, if they don't get any income because you have given the videos away they go out of business or stop filming. If that happens you have no videos to SHARE.

I'm not interessting by developping arguments with you concerning this point , I'm a badminton player sharing files for practising , nothing else !
Once again , see around you and develop your ideas with people that are making business with those kind of files ( recorded from tv cable for the one I'm already paying fees aka +- 50 € / month )
You are not obly to download those files if u don't want , you 're are not also obly to believe that you are the POLICEMAN of earth who is making revolution by talking about 'illegal download' ,. Your fight is not mine !
I won't give any more reply to this thread about this.
Have a nice day
ps : if you want to loose your time , here are some indications to continue your enquiries mister POLICEMAN of the PLANET TV BADMINTON :
