Spotted this web - site while searching badminton coaching I thought it was good and thought It may interest some people.
www.badmintoncoaching.com
www.badmintoncoaching.com
clicked on world trip Korea didnt realise how hard they trained is this normal??
I struggle to get juniors to train 2 hours per week never mind 16 - 20 hours
a little disapointed I would think a web site with the name badmintoncoaching.com would have more coaching information????
Why not take a look at the sister site - www.lackofbadmintoncoaching.com which is equally as good. :p
I tried to click on your site with no success lackofbadminton ?????
I have looked through the web site and agree it is short on infomation on badmintoncoaching but having looked through the links Denmark was interesting as was Korea and Malaysia the asian way of coaching is totaly different to the way we coach.

I disagree, as long as they don't burn out/get stale/get bored etc and are traning correctly it should be fine, the more time you spend on court the better you will get. And when you spend that amount of time on court each week things start becoming second nature which means you don't have to think about them, and the less you have to think about your game when you are on court the freer you are to concentrate on winning.
Don't forget this is their profession, training for a pro is the same as me going to my office and doing my job every day.

It's the New Zealand international event.

The answer is on the site, Tony (surname unknown) did the round the world trip and is currently based in New Zealand.

Tony Mordant...used to coach at the David Lloyd Trafford Centre in Manchester before his trip. Now he works in New Zealand coaching coaches! Mark Golds is based at the David Lloyd centre in Cheadle, last I heard.
The last I heard Mark Golds was coaching at Manchester David Lloyd not cheadle??
Mark golds is working at Manchester he coaches a mate of mine, and I think Tony Mordant is working with coaches in New Zealand. I still think there should be some more coaching information hopefully we will see this soon????
