How funny would it be if Sweden hump Ing-gur-land and big Olaf Mellberg breaks Rooneys foot into several tiny parts!!! :D
Ooh am going giddy just thinking about it!! :D

I myself usually won't watch football except the world cup which is far more exciting than all the other football games.
By the way, are there any chances for England this time?

Well I guess our Scots bretheren must be doubly in tears tonight.
Not only did England fail to get thumped, Rooney failed to get injured but htye did top the group.
Oh yes the other point is that at least they are out there playing where are the rest of the Home countries? Sorry I forgot they failed to qualify.
Com' on England.

Ahh but yet again Ing-gur-land were piss poor.
Your striker problem deepened with Owen getting injured leaving you with a half fit Rooney, Peter Crouch and Theo Walcott as your only remaining strikers!!!!! :D Peter Crouch is soooo bad he wouldnt get a game with my 5 a side team!!!
You only qualified due to the fact you had the easiest group of all, Poland (Gash), Austria (Mega Gash), happened to be the main competition.
Where as Gods chosen country had Italy, Norway and Belarus (who humped England in a friendly not long ago) to compete with.
It's a pity Sweden didnt get the win their play deserved as Germany would have spanked England silly!!

At long last we've found something Woody is emotional about and can be drawn on :p
If only he could get used to the constant nearly men of the modern games perpetual under performing in major competitions he'd be sorted.

Me passionate???
Never.
As for we were in a poor qualifying group. Whose fault is that, you play who you are drawn against the same as any competition for any sport.
The further injuries to players, thats life I'm afraid.

The draw is no-one's fault it mearly highlights what jammy barstewards Ing-gur-land are!!!
Injuries are indeed life but they kinda leave Ing-gur-land with only a half fit Wayne "Shrek" Rooney and Peter "FREAK" Crouch up front. Which is a bit of a problem!!
All i can say is come on Ecuador!!!

Alan,
Just to show I bear no grudges even though perhaps you are a little misguided.
If you go to the area around Vauxhall and head out on the main road south of the river towards the South West you will find yourself in 'Little Portugal'.
I travelled through there the night that Portugal beat England at Euro 2004 and the place was absolutely alive with Portugeuse supprters all over the streets. They were great fun and very noisy.
I am sure they will make up for it when they suffer this coming weekend!!

You are a gentleman!!
I did know that area has a big latino population but thanks. I am sure they will be dancing in the streets!

Well England may have lost but I don't think the Portugeuse covered themselves in glory.
As for our friends North of the border yes you have something to crow about but as I said in a previous post at least England qualified for the tournament and got to the quarter finals.

What a superb result for the greater good of football. At least we now have teams who are prepared to play open exciting football rather than the ultra negative turgid rubbish that England have served up.
Portugal are deserved winners but, there is nothing like sour grapes from little englandlers. :D
Rooney yet again showed what a thug he is, referee had an excellent game.
As to your cheap pop at gods chosen country just read my previous posts on the matter! :D
You have no idea how satisfying it is to see England lose on penalties AGAIN!!! :D

What a load of tosh.
England didn't deserve to win because of the tatics they used which is down to the team selection.
However I have to say that Portugal were poor today except when it came to putting away the penalties.
England didn't deserve to win the shhotout because their attempts were bad.
Whatever one says, whoever says it England were still the only representative from these shores who were in the event and still despite not playing well all tournament were in the quarter finals.
Say what you want you cannot take that away from them.
As regards other quality sides. Look at yesterdays games. Neither of them were an advert for attractive flowing football. All four sides were frightened to get beaten. Ukraine must have thought it was their birthday, xmas and new year all wrapped up in one parcel to even be in the qtrs.

Ukrane deserved to be there every bit as much as england, they had an easy group as did england and managed to play through that. A poor last 16 performance let them scrape through (as in englands case)
The fact is, portugal might not win it but they were without their playmaker in deco and still managed to get through you guys. The semi against france will be a much better game. Had england got through this how would they have coped without Rooney, Terry and maybe Beckham. It was more a case of putting you out your misery than anything else.

Woody

Couldn't agree more.
Both teams played far better than their opponents and deserved to be in the Final.
It showed to me that Portugal were poor in their performance against England but I bear them no grudge.

Well done the Italians.
Didn't play that well this evening but got the result.
Zidane, well what can one say.
