this with regard to my post entitled badders.com. please please site support, take action against those such as wolfie smith who will in the end shrink your overall membership interaction, as the huge majority will refrain from sharing news and views then suffering gutter tripe insults from people who have no place in the game.
slander as you know is of legal calibre. i am sure if you do not take action, others will.

And don't you complain about 'tripe insults from people who have no place in the game'... you've had more than your fair share of the action. perhaps you would like to explain this

Looks like you have taken the bait Soup.
Possibly shouldnt have gotten riled i would have thought, if you were a target before now you're a bigger one.
We've all had our chains yanked over the years on here and i have to say the site over the last 8 months or so has been dead and deteriorating since the abuse has stopped. More people come to see whos having a go at who and whats being said.
I would however be interested to see the traffic in the last year and a half and what the numbers through the gate are on a monthly basis. Also the most visited threads in each month.
Probably find the ones with slaggings have the win hands down

I took the bait and went with it but its been a bit of fun. There has been some random abuse but nothing serious as far as I am concerned. I know some of the people that it has come from and the rest is just some good banter and trying to figure out who the big mouth is!!

who can shout loudest and think of the most original slagging angles, then you all have no place in the game called badminton. i am in sales and, am well aware that controvery sells but when seeing this place for the first time, and having been out of the game for the best part of 15 years, i have so many people and memories i would like to talk to again and re-live.
if you wan't to practice your big mouth skills then there are plenty of chat rooms or forums on the web. badminton is in a bad enough state without adopting a jeckyl persona while you play the game and hyde when you visit badders.com!!!! the langauage and sort of banter you crave does not exist whilst playing the game at club level (or any level). imagine if you had wandered about on a club night with the type of atitiudes you have. i know characters in badminton is something i major on, but i would like to have seen how long you would last in most clubs. badminton can't become like the aussie cricketers when they sledge you in your face to provoke. the umpire is placed in the middle so under the laws of the game you will come a cropper.
offering a balance, i would agree the game could be criticised for a lack of in your face aggression. if you wan't that great, but resorting to race, colour or sexual tendancy has no place in any section of life.

Have you tried taking each day: Glucosamine 1500mg + Methylsulfonylmethane(MSM) 2000mg + Calcium 1000mg(in divided dose) + Bromelian 1000GDU(optional, but taking will speed healing)?
i have been prescribing the above to more than 200 individuals in my sports club and church over the last 8 years. it works well with 85% of the cases. the ages of these individuals range from 26 to 86.
as knee problems(especially the athelete) are developed over years...it takes time to heal...normally, one will feel the result after supplementing with the above for 6-8weeks...it will be getting better when taking long term.
(it's cheaper to buy from "puritan.com" or "iherb.com")

that wont help him. it was properly fecked and he has had it removed. However due to the failing state of this nations health service, he couldnt have it replaced with some fancy titanium number and he is now running (well dragging) about a wrought iron knee with oak tendons

The Forsaken thinks McSporran will most probably wipe the floor with you as he doessnt suffer fools gladly!
If you are stupid enough to go into Glasgow and think you will come out unscathed you indeed have lead a very sheltered life!
I see what is coming it is just a shame you don't!
The Forsaken is looking forward to the meeting and how it goes for you. Phil back down, you clearly do not know the man!
As for his knee, it has cost him before, i'm sure if he is determined to play again he will come back just as he did from the car crash that took them the first time!

I enjoy the banter on here, have done since it started....I agree that entertainment is no excuse for racist remarks and nasty personal insults.
But at the end of the day, if someone hides behind an alias and takes a swipe at you, be the bigger man ignore it or respond!
Only take notice of the worthwhile points, ignore the insults....I've only ever known banter in badminton.....some days its easy to take, others it can be a bit much....but because it happens day in day out you live with it.
Take it all with a pinch of salt soup!
But Phil's right about it being busier and more interesting on here lately.

No site is complete without banter but it does have it's negative sides too, it can create a divide between those involved and those who aren't which can prevent people from joining in, and it can take a thread way off topic and become the point of thread itself instead of just being banter around a topic. It's then up to the members to try and keep some relevence going in the threads rather than just turn every thread into banter which can kill a site quite quickly.

very true smurf, there is always the off-topic section for simple banter....but it can be easy to be drawn into a "fight".

Over the years here we have seen many people take the bait and come off the worse, you just need to respond in one way or the other and i'll leave it to you to decide.
I love my banter and you just need to have a thick enough skin in order to take the stuff some people throw at you or in my case if you dish it out you need to be prepared to take it back.
What happened to you on Wednesday night Soup? Surely you could have come along and said hi to Tommy and ripped the pish for a while?
The other problem is tha tthe highest volume of traffic is when people are tearing into one another as it gives us somehting to do, either read or join in. Becasue basically to the masses this stuff is a bit boring and it needs livened up a bit.
I can hold my hand up and say i've taken it a bit far somtimes when maybe i should have just held back but in the end i've made a lot o friends on here and support the site 100% in whatever they do to those they deem have handed it out a bit too much as somehow they have always tried to justify themselves when in the firing line.

site support has done a good job lately by breaking a thread into the "in" and "off" topic:

Besides breaking the "off-topic" thread for ppls to toy around, Mr. site support has been very busy recently enjoying exercising his/her veto power in deleting posts that do not suit her/his taste.
I myself think that both "fun" and "seriousness" are required for a good site. It requires the member to restrain oneself to achieve a fine balance. Mr. site support will act on when one cross the broder too much. Phil, smuf, lunch are good example of excellent posters.
