New Messaging Feature!

We've finally done it!

You can now send people messages even when they are offline. They will then receive this message when they next come onto Badders.com.

This means that you can now get in touch with members straight away.

Let us know what you think of this feature and if you have any problems!

Great feature. Always frustrating when you wanted to contact someone and they were offline. Now there is no excuse.

Some comments if I may.

Firstly to have it as a pop up is a little dangerous. For instance I logged into the site and automatically thought the PM I just got was an advert so I closed it straight away. If you sent me a PM and didn't get a response please send it again, I am not ignoring you lol! I know this is a hangover from the fact that is started out as an IM! You could perhaps put up a message reminding people that popups on this site are not advertisments!

Another thing - I don't know whether this is something which was intended to rectify the problem or is just a software glitch, but I just got the same PM twice. I responded to the first and got the second about 15 minutes later.

Badders has never and will never have popup adverts. Just to get that straight :)

We'll look into the second issue of repeated messages. It could be that the message was sent twice by mistake or that when it was first read, the system failed to recognise that it had been read. Either way, we'll investigate.
