I have had a little idea...... and the title says it all.

Who would be interested in this kind of this? I dont know about the rest of you but getting people to play singles regularly and to get good games is always tough. Over the summer I play in a singles league at my club but this isnt running now and I just thought some of you lot might be interested?
I know most of you and where you are based but there are lots of people who come on here and read but dont post that could be in this. I know because at tournaments people comment on the last argument I had with people which is kind of spooky!!
Anyway, what do you think?

whatever people think would work. Obviously some people live close to each other, some dont so a regular club once a week wouldnt work but if people all wanted to play for say 4 hours 1 weekend afternoon once a month. Or having a ladder for people within resonable proximity to play against each other.

As alansd knows,though a veteran I am up for singles at the moment.Will travel any reasonable distance but prefer a wooden floor(all that time spent on my knees......).Can get to wmbldn or hounslow in 35 mins.

Training on Tuesday Alan? Maybe we could squeeze a game in if the numbers at Middx County are light. Played a mixed last night and the "movement" and sharpness have started to return. Even the knee didn't play up.

Playing for a drink sounds great - mine's a double Bombay Sapphire so you'd have to join us at the pub afterwards of course.

The pub opposite is as rough as a badgers arse but there's another a little further in to Heston that's quite pleasant. However we usually end up a bit further out as all the drinkers seem to live in the Uxbridge area - oh and the pub is VERY cheap :) and it doesn't stop serving until 12 :D

We are actually looking into booking courts etc and so to get an idea of how many would be needed and how long for we could really do with everyone interested to either post or PM. At the moment there is about 5 of us but Ithink we could get more and would need more to make it better.
Come on people!
We could all chip in about a tenner to cover court costs depending on how long we play bring shuttles and whatever is left over could either go to the winner or to a drinks fund.
I think that a sunday afternoon once a month or maybe twice depending on how many people are interested...
