Cai and Fu out.

Lin Dan out.

That'll go down well at their home event.

Gunawan / Wijaya out. About time they called it a day? Must be older than me.

er.....

The Thai pair are very useful and Kellogg and Clark lost in 3 so it looks like a tight encounter.

And David.......You suggesting the man who carried Howard Back to a World Title, who doesn't get top level practice, especially no practice with his partner should stop playing?!?!?!
Crazy fool.......

They're probably no older than Eriksen / Hansen, surely?

Does anyone know why only Andrew Smith played mens singles?
Did we not send any others players?

Send others!!

Who else is there?

With respect to Rice, Kidd and Baxter they are not good enough or ranked high enough to get into the qualifying for these super series events let alone play in the main compettion.

As for Aamir Gaffur I had some long conversations with him in Oslo last week and he is chasing points all over the place to get his ranking up. He has been to Syria and Jordan in recent weeks but didn't do well enough in Oso to get through three tough rounds of qualifying.

As far as I know he still gets something like £15K from BE which was what he was getting but I don't have a clue.

Woody is Rajiv's ranking not good enough to get him in? I mean i saw about 50 chinese players in the super series. Can they put as many home nation players as they want into the draw? How exactly does it work?

I would have thought that he was near enough. He is ranked 47 at the moment but has only played in one super series the French a couple of weeks ago.

He played last week in Oslo and reached the semi-final but to be honest was not good enough to win the competition.

The player who beat him last week was seeded 4 in Scotland and lost in the first round yesterday.

As for the number of Chinese, no idea as to how they can have so many entries. Most of the players dominated the qualifying.

All of the guys you have mentioned would easily have made it into the qualifying, even Aamir!

Who enters the draw is solely based on world rankings. And since some of the players who entered the qualifiers is ranked somewhere around 450 in the world, the english players wouldnt have any trouble entering the draw.

I had a knee-operation last week. Haven't been able to play since the Bitburger Open in october. Hope to be back on court in january, but it may be more realistic with a comeback sometime in february.
