Just over a week until the next Prem A/B weekend (we seem to get two really close together and then nothing for ages - the final Prem A is in April!).

The Italian Open is on the week before and many English players have entered, and may not want to rush back if they get to the finals.

And some teams have got some recovery to do! Bucks? Surrey? Lancs? Derbyshire?

Anyone know if any teams are going to be stronger/weaker for the Christmas battles?:D

We've found out a certain Kim Dong Moon has been living in Basingstoke for the last 7 months....so we will be stronger!!!!

You manage to get a certain Kim Dong Moon to turn out for Hampshire sorry Middlesex then the Chosen One will eat his hat, your hat, the Admirals hat .... anybodys hat !!

Its true, but i hear he's debating whether to play. Apparently he's none to impressed about having to play at 2nd mixed behind Luncheon.

Apparently Derbyshire no longer have Kristian Roebuck, so don't appear to be able to strengthen for the final two weekends. Looks like they will struggle unless they really pull something out the bag.

Hopefully neither title will be decided at the end of this weekend to make for an exciting final weekend.

it turns out that the final day of prem B has notts v herts. How interesting would it be to see robertson v emms in a crucial mixed!

Well it didn't work out too well for Gail last year having to play a crucial mix in the very last rubber of Prem A!

Any results from todays matchs yet?

Off the top of my head: Derbys 2 Middx 8; Avon 3 Herts 7 (I think) Cheshire 2 Notts 8. Those just from today; not sure of others.

Looks like Prem B last weekend will be disrupted by changing of dates for Thomas / Uber Cups, so Robertson vs Emms looks unlikely in any decider!

Was a good weekend for Herts, Notts and Yorks 2. Herts had Jo Goode out for them replacing Gail Emms.

Top of the table looks like:

Herts 49
Notts 46
Yorks 2 42
Middlesex 38

There's then a big gap to Cheshire at 25.

Derby look doomed with only 12 points at the bottom, with Hants 2 in the other relegation place on 19. Warks 2, Avon and Dorset are not safe either on 21, 21 and 24 points.

Could bring up the debate about Yorks 2 again if they finish in the top 2. I think they should be promoted if so. It's a silly rule.

The one thing that surprises me is how close a lot of the games with the England squad are. Even with messing about included I would of expected them to win a lot more games pretty easily.

Lunchmeat needs his confidence built up, he's a likeable lad and not having the best season so far !!

Bad weekend for Warwickshire. The top 5 is actually:

Yorkshire
Essex
Glasgow & NS
Surrey
Warwickshire

It's a two-way fight for the title, but Yorks 4 point lead will be hard to claw back.
