Continue their march up the world rankings by easily despatching the world no.11 Koreans in two sets. The quarters look possible, which would take them ever nearer the top 20 already (and possible olympic qualification??!!).

They're already the no.4 pair in Britain and given the horrendous form of Clark and Kellogg (when did they last win a game?!), perhaps they could make Beijing?

Have they not already beaten Lindley and Rapayan a couple of times?
I think Bejing is pushing it Mark but I like that Jock optimism!!

Well they only have to be top 16 and no.2 in Britain to qualify. They'll be top 20ish after this week and closing in on Clark & Kellogg who are going in the opposite direction.

They are mid thirties at the moment still behind Middleton and Parker/smith. Fot Kellog and Clark to drop out of the top 16 would require an amazing drop in form. All they need is a decent draw or two and they are fine. Also dont forget Blair and Banikier are still having to go through qualifying so its quite possible they dont make the main draw of a couple of tournaments!

So even if you're right and Clark and Kellogg are on a run of low form, it is unlikely to continue.
Every pair/player goes through bad form and then it will pick up again.

As soon as Clark and Kellogg find a slow hall, their results will most definitely improve. The ability for Clark to move the shuttle around in a slower hall is brilliant....so if they get those couple of results as Al said, then Blair and Bankier won't get to no.2 for Beijing....if the target was Beijing then forming the partnership was left too late!

So you've been on your run of bad form for about 3 seasons now chris?

I think the target probably wasn't Beijing, but they've given themselves a shot at it. They've beaten Lindley and Rayappan already this season, plus two other top 20 pairs. Top 16 is definitely possible by the cut-off, but I agree, I think it unlikely that they will get to no.2 in the UK by then.

Given that Blair changes partners like some people change the shuttle what makes people think theywould still be together at the Olympics anyway.

Not a chance of getting to No 2 unless someone else gets injured.

It's not that out of the question! Robert has been top 10 before and Imogen is a very talented, very young player who will only get better. Clark & Kellogg getting better? Don't think so.

I admit it's not likely right now, but I bet you they get close to no.2 in Britain

Generally as a rule, in regards to betting.

Anything Marky claims generally should be bet against (every time!!)

How's your favourite two bags of sugar getting on ?

COR I wouldn't bother as they lost in two easily to a Danish pair.

Gaila and Nathan through to qtrs.

Gail and Donna beat Joanne and Natalie to reach qtrs as well.

Smith lost in the first round but they guy who beat him has beaten Hidyat today.

Didn't see vaughn in the draw!! Injured again??

Still, good points picked up and with all of Korea's points also to go onto their total, I can see top 20 next week!
