Due to the withdrawal of a team, anyone interested in some places that have come available at the ISBT (International Student Badminton Tournament) in Cambridge from 26 – 30 March 2007?
ISBTs are held throughout Europe and this will be the ISBT return to the UK after a gap of a few years. They provide for 3 days of badminton, are a great social for a few days and relatively inexpensive for what you get.
ISBTs are primarily aimed at students or recent graduates. The general idea is you don't need a partner, just decide on which 2 disciplines you wish to play and for doubles events you will be drawn a partner from someone in the same standard category. We have 4 graded categories A/B/C/D. You will play rounds of each discipline over the 3 days with finals on the last afternoon.
Playing days are 27-29 March. Cost is £155 that includes entry fee, 4 nights accommodation with breakfast x 3, lunch x 3, dinner x 3 and 3 nights out (not drinks).
ISBT website is www.isbt-uk.co.uk - you'll find info there and details on contacts and how to enter.
You don't need a big team; in fact you don't need a team at all, we have individuals playing as well as a couple of quite large teams. We'll have well over 100 players there so should be a good event.
Email to info@isbt-uk.co.uk or PM or post if you want any further info.
