Me and my freinds buy mavis yonex 500's. a pack of 6 used to be about £6 but i was supprised when searching to buy a new tube that they varied between £8-£11! why the big incraese? they are only cork & plastic!!!

Generally the prices have gone up because less plastics are being sold. As the demand drops and more people use feathers the price rises (supply and demand economics - I won't go into price elasticity!)

Also less competiton has driven the price up. How many compnaies now sell plastics? Yonex and Carlton, any more?

true. i would use feathers but how long do they last, 1 game max? it doesnt seem worth it. thanx, thats sites really good for shuttles.
