How far do you go to play badminton? Not county matches or national tournaments, but how far do you travel to play at your club, sports centre or local matches?

I travel less than 5 minutes to my local club, about 3 miles but can travel 25 mins to a match. Some people I know travel for 40 mins to get to their club in the UK, in Canada I know someone who travels about an hour to get to their nearest badminton court.

5 mins walk to our home court, in a church hall. Maximum distance to a league match is about 8-10 miles, about 25 mins. Our league has 18 clubs, about 85 teams in 9 divisions. Most of the clubs play within a 3 mile radius of the town centre, with 2 or 3 playing outside of that.

My main club is 17 miles away and I play there perhaps 3 times a week. Also play every saturady at the local leisure centre with friends. I also play at another more local club and some of their league matches, away matches being not more than 15 miles.

You travel 50 miles to play at a club at least once a week, maybe more? And the club isn't anything to do with county or national standard badminton? Why would you do that? very intriguing.

it only takes me one minute to get to my badminton club but finding a car parking space can be difficult sumtimes. My friend travels over 9 hours to get to her club as she walks very slow!!!
