Pro Kennex strings (black) are they any good? If you think they are and want some at £1 per set let me know.

Paul set of badminton string for £1 forget it. Unless they are greatly reduced I wouldn't bother. i have strung badminton racquets for over 20 years and I have never heard of Pro-kennex strings. Stick to Ashaway or Yonex. My preference would be for Ashaway. They have been play tested by many of the England players. I can vouch for their playability and durability of these strings.

Talk about close-mindedness. Just because you have not heard of the brand doesn't mean that they are not good or suitable for use.

There are a lot of different badminton equipment out on the market and we in the Western world probably only get a few of the big brands. How about Gosen strings, Babolats, etc?

I would agree with Keith on this one badminton strings for a £1 sound a little dodgy ..why choose them if there are such tried and tested brands as Yonex and Ashaway. Gosen did sponsor the Malay National Team but again I stick to the above . I use BG65Ti and it the best string I have experianced. If I could go higher I would but then I think I would pay for the stringers to go on holiday a few times a year ...

Applying your logic to racquets would mean that only Yonex, Carlton would probably qualify as true, tried and tested.

Brands like Babolats, Forza, Yang-Yang, Winex, Victor, Gosen, Fleet, Moonson, etc are dodgy.

Let's us see
Gosen - Malaysian National Team
Forza - Most of the Danish players
Kason - Most of the Chinese provinicial teams since Yonex sponsors the National team.

Oh well, I don't think that you can convince folks who are not open to new stuff/technologies to try anything else. BTW, most of the Yonex-sponsored pros are using BG-65 so applying your logic, BG-65Ti doesn't meet the pros' requirements and should be considered to the best.

Did I mention rackets in my thread ?...no I didnt . Rackets are a whole different ball game , we were talking about strings at £1 per pack that have never been tested at high level and you had the advice of two guys who have been stringing rackets for 30 years in total ...
Dont jump to conclusions buddy .

Prokennex strings are likely made in the same plants that churn out the other brands as well. Given the low price of the string, postage and labor far exceeds the string price.
Unless you are stringing it yourself, paying a stringer to put on an untested string for the sake of low price would be wasteful. But you never know, the string could be a gem or could be a dud, it's your money...

Keith (both Keiths)
The fact of the matter is that you guys (experienced stringers) never did tried the Prokennex strings and insisted that you never would because there are tried and tested brands like Yonex and Ashaway. If you have never tried the ProKennex strings or brands other than Yonex & Prokennex, how could you give an opinion like the best string ever????

My point is that being so close-minded about other brands or new stuff shouldn't give you guys the rights to trash another product just because of the pricing of that product. Do you know how much it costs to make a pack of string??? Pennies!!!

You know, if you guys had indicated that you had tried the ProKennex string and have found it to be dodgy, flaky, etc. I probably wouldn't have questioned that opinion regarding the string but the fact is that you never did try the string. AND I DO NOT MEAN ANY DISRESPECT TO EITHER ONE OF YOU.

No disrespect taken buddy , I explained that BG65Ti was the best I had used ( personally that is )

These threads are for peoples personal experiance or view and I gave mine.We didnt trash any string just gave a valid opinion

bottom line people can use whatever string they like , but I still recommend Yonex or Ashway all day long.
