What shoes do people wear now? Most people seem to go for Yonex or Prince. Any other options?

Since Hi-Tec started sponsoring the England team about 4 years ago, a slight majority it seems of league players use that brand.

To be fair to them they are good shoes and a little cheaper than Yonex.

I like the look of the prince black shoe. They seem to wear well (ie the colour hides the dust!)

I wear Nike court (squash/badminton) shoes as they are a wider/broader ladies fitting and offer me a lot of support.

Prior to that I used adrenalin pro which was a great shoe - why they didn't keep it as it was???!!! I know a few people who bought up several pairs of this make of shoe as they knew it would change and be unobtainable in a few seasons time!!

Which of course now it is..how shrewd of them!

I am from Greenland and I lived in Oxford for almost 2 years and I found it more difficult to find shoes for badminton in the UK than in Greenland and Denmark.
In Oxford I played in Adrenalin Pro until they were out of stock and found a pair of X4 at £ 20 as replacement. I found them OK for the price (being a student:-)
I used to work in a sports shop in Greenland, so I could get the great shoes at a discounted price, but lately I have been trying to find some shoes at a more reasonable price. I have found out that a well fitting "low cost" shoe is nearly as good as the expensive ones, even playing county level. I use up 2-3 pairs in a season regardless of price, so why not try different models and makes at different pricelevels.
Adidas, Asics, Forza, HiTec, Nike, Yonex..... they are all made for the same purpose and it only depends on how they feel on your feet. Good luck shoe hunting :-)
