hmm pooki,
this is serious if its affecting your game, I hope your anger doesnt consist of bad language, so many of are youngsters are using foul lanuage has anyone else noticed this?
Anyway pooki wat gets you angry, mistakes, Or you are just a bad loser?
Try and focus on the game, I have noticed that the top people dont bat an eye lid when they make a mistake, maybe you should try the same thing.

I think it would be interesting if the next "Quick poll" on badders.com was on what make of racket people play with. Does Yonex have the monopoly that we assume? They obviously do in world badminton but what is it like at club level?

Thanks for responding to my thread. Perhaps badders will consider my idea of a quick poll if enough people show interest(if they haven't already done one on this subject). I am fascinated by the variety of rackets available and the reasons behind people's choice for their purchase. Is the decision based on price, what's available off the shelf or whether people like to play with the same rackets as their badminton heroes? I go through phases and change my rackets regularly, loved carlton airblades, then went on to Karakal SL70's, play currently with Babolat which is my favourite. I am an impulse buyer and just bought a Yonex Muscle Power 55 and am disappointed (with myself and the racket).

I've only just started playing badminton (oct 02) and have just bought my first racket myself, my first 2 were gifts.
I chose a Carlton Megaflex mainly for the grip. As a beginner I understand that it's important to hold the racket correctly and the Carlton (Megaflex F1 Ti) with it's rubbery feel and seamed spiral banding felt good in my hand. Add the fact that I THOUGHT Simon Archer used it and it's expensive price tag and it was a sale. I'm pleased with it.

Mine are Carlton and Yonex, mostly Carlton though.
I'm like Daniel and spent the firts 6 months back playing by single handedly keeping my local racket shop afloat with the amount of rackets that i bought, I used a very scientific method - if it felt good then it was added to the bag.
Roughly 2 years on and i'm back to using a Carlton 85g from way back. What a wase of money. The worst thing was that i never did find a good all round racket.

This thread was started to find out whether Yonex does have the monopoly on rackets at club level as well as professional level (I seem to remember Archer being the only non-yonex playing medal winner at the olympics) and looking at the results in the Quick Poll it seems that yes they do, although of course the poll is only representative of visitors to badders.com.
At the time of writing the poll showed
Yonex 46%
Other 21%
Carlton 19%
Prince 8%
Karakal 4%
Wilson 1%
Slazenger 1%
Carlton also had quite a large percentage & I wonder whether this has anything to do with the fact that England have got good results with carlton racket players? Interesting.

I would say that the predominance of British people on the site gives Carlton an advantage, otherwise they would be lucky to scrape 2% like some of the others.
Forza would be 'big' in Denmark but in most countries Yonex would surely hit 80%??
