Noticed that Kelly Morgan beat Tracey Hallam. Will be interesting to see if this influences the selection committee for the Olympics.

How many entrants do we get to send in Ladies singles then?
Personally, I dont think it should be counted any differently from any other win or loss. The reason being that at at the Olympic these players will be playing the rest of the world, not each other! In this respect their World ranking should surely be the most significant factor, along with form leading up to the event?

It won't influence the selection committee, as they should already know Kelly is and has been British no1 for a long time now.

the olympic qualifications for GB depend on your world rankings at a certain date (normally just before the games)the top two players/pairs are then invited by the Olympic badminton set up to represent gb.

I agree with Simon, Kelly is the British No.1 and should get more coverage because of that. She is an example to all players on how to prepare and how to win matches that matter.
