Hello another anon.

go to www.badmintonscotland.org, then the latest news link. You will then be able to the list of seeds. Soon you will see the draw and also results.

The list of seeds will answer your question who are the likely 1's to watch, although in some events there are only 2 seeds.

interesting weekend.

summary for those who missed it

u13 two trebles for the favourites paul and gillian, no real surprises.

u17 treble for watson - always a strong competitor, good singles performance from linda (still u15), doubles all very close. few months ago you would have said watson and imo clearly best mixed pair but now the field is closing. four pairs all in real competition, semis and finals all three setters - let's see who comes out the pack over the next season. both level doubles also close, younger players catching up.
well done Fraser almost beating the system, deserved special award you got.

u21 this was where the real surprises came, gordon thomson great performances to beat callum then craig goddard. ladies singles always close michelle on top after losing to julie at recent senior nationals.three good doubles finals, all competitive despite senior caps on view.

Well done to all the champions and good behaviour all round. also well done to eddie for organising massive number of games specially on saturday

well done to everyone involved at the weekend!

C nic: Don't understand your comment about fraser beating the system. I am out of touch with the age group and would be grateful if you could explain the situation.

Colin,

Fraser not in any elite squad, not even picked for u17 home countries team but reached final of both singles and level doubles at weekend at nationals.
