Hello,
I am 16 years of age and i am bordering on england standard, i have been told i will be in the squad next year. I have to really make a choice though, singles or doubles? I love the thrill of a fast doubles game but i feel i am slightly better at singles. I was wondering if anyone knew of any training drills that can get my level that little bit higher, and hopefully see if doubles bcomes stronger than singles or vica versa.

Many Thanks

Matt,
I would keep playing both for the moment. If you enjoy playing both events then the skills you learn in both will help you become a better player when you decide to concentrate on either. You will know when the time is right to specialise in one event.

What county do you play for Matthew?

Hi,
Last season i played for the county of Essex. I've lost touch with them but still play in Essex Squad restricted tournaments. Last major one i beat the Number 2 at singles, and me and my partner were ranked 2nd best in essex also
