rajiv ouseph is the top under 18 in boys singles and he is also good at mixed.
under 17 is tom dunlop and under 15 is chris adcock, both could make it to senior, especially chris adcock, very talented at a young age.

People are only mentioning the supposed number one boys. There is strength in depth, certainly in the older age groups. Under 19s - Chris Langridge and Robin Middleton won the 6 nations and Harry Wright and Matthew Honey who didnt play finished the season ranked number one in Europe. In singles, everyone knows about Rajiv Ouspeh but it was Harry Wright who got to the final of the six nations, beating four danes over the course of the weekend, despite injuring his leg in the team event, an injury which i belive has kept him out of competitive play since then. Under 17 - Tom Dunlop is number one but Andy Ellis managed to get to the semis in the 6 nations!

Having watched Andy Ellis several times at ICT, he seemed a lot more comfortable on a doubles/mixed court to when he was playing singles.

Andy Ellis record this season
In England
Played 12 under 17 events won 10 gold(three singles, four doubles and three mixed)including 2 National titles, and two silvers (singles at Nationals losing to Tom Dunlop and mixed at JC select losing to Wallwork and James)
In Europe
Played in 6 under 17 events won two gold, two silvers and a bronze reaching quarter finals in remaining event.
Also won medals at under 19 in Europe.
Tom Dunlop and Chris Adcock are both good players but do not right others off not just Andy but Dean George and Peter Mills deserve respect.
Nottingham water is not good though!!!

yeah andy ellis is a very good player, i also saw the ICT final aswell and chris adcock deserved that game, he looked like he was up for the match aswell, i also saw chris adcock aswell play in the shires league final against handal and looked like he was winning quite comfortable

Handal would be as good as Adcock if he wasnt 4 ft tall and prone to cramp.
Matt i think u have a little crush on handal from what i been reading, whats the deal lad, he (could) be but hes not so thats why adcock beats him, hes better simple as, dont make exscuses. Me boy andy is a quality all rounder, look at johns review, Matt notice the THREE singles medals, international and national, lets see some of the critics beat him, so he lost doesnt everyone lose an unexpected game. We have got an amazing u17 team boys and girls bit unlucky in six nations, only makes em stronger, shout to everyone who knows me. and i know the only replies im going to get after this will be some chumps with an attitude, bring on your opinion then.....

That was more a serious comment said in jest. Yes at the moment Adcock is miles ahead of everyone at u-15/u-16 age group but later on people will probably being to catch him up. I mean he was a bit lucky in the way hes tall for his age very quick and also left handed, but obviously his technical abilities, disguise and such are all worked on so its not as if hes got there through luck. Oh and i didnt say he wasnt a very good singles player, i just said that he seems to be an even better doubles player, hence him being favourite's to win the european doubles and him winning the national mixed and level doubles.

Interesting logic Matt. Maybe I should walk on stilts and play with my left hand.

How about each county. The top counties. Who are the best from them and do you think any of them have what it takes to make it through to senior?
