Gail Emms and Nathan Robertson saw their unbeaten run in the Sudirman Cup come to an end, as England were handed a 5-0 thrashing by holders Korea.
Having avoided defeat here and at the last campaign two years ago, they faced up to Lee Jae Jin and Ra Kyung Min.
Leading 10-6 in the decider, Robertson netted an easy chance and the pair failed to win another point.
England must beat Thailand to ensure Group One status, but Denmark and the Koreans are through to the last four.
