Organisers
and competitors, alike, are looking forward immensely to the Duchy of
Cornwall 25th Silver “Open” Badminton Championships, which will see
competitors drawn from a spread of over twenty English and Welsh
Counties, once more, writes John Tresidder.
The prestigious Event, in its 8th year as a BADMINTON England
“Satellite” Ranking Tournament, is scheduled for Carn Brea Leisure
Centre, Pool, Near Redruth on Saturday and Sunday, September 15/16 and
has a total prize-fund of £1,260.
The entry forms have been duly circulated – the closing date
for entries being August 31 - and if you feel your name is not on the
Database, contact Linda Collins, tel: 01209 - 713794, or download a
form from the top of this page.
Owing to David Burgess, being unavailable this year, Dr. David
Pegg, an International Referee, from Worcestershire, is kindly standing
in as the Referee official, for one year only.
